Sri Lanka 216-7 bt New Zealand 119 (36.1 ovs) by 97 runs
Thilan Samaraweera's maiden century and four wickets from Lasith Malinga helped Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by 97 runs in the triangular o! ne-day series.
Samaraweera cracked a superb 104 and Angelo Mathews chipped in with 51 as Sri Lanka recovered from 69-5 to finish with a respectable 216-7.
Malinga then took three wickets in an over after Nuwan Kulasekara and Thilan Thushara had each taken three wickets.
And, after New Zealand slipped to 41-6, Malinga returned for the final wicket.
New Zealand now face India on Friday in what could be their last game of the triangular one-day series should they lose.
