Tevez' future still in the balance

Soccer analyst Richard Gomes said Monday a cloud still hangs over Manchester United's Carlos Tevez' future at the club.

The striker could have waved his last goodbye at Old Trafford after he was substituted against Arsenal in their 0-0 draw this weekend.

The point is all the Red Devils needed to secure their 18th league title.

Gomes says Tevez has increased speculation as to whether he will remain at United after he did not attend the club's awards last night.

"Manchester United had their Player of the year awards last night and the news today is that Tevez did not show up at function. Reading between the lines its looks like he is going to be on his way out."

Meanwhile Chelsea still has a lot to play for as they could still finish the league in second place. Liverpool occupies second spot but the Blues will need a win and a few goals to take the runner's up place.

Gomes says interim ma! nager Guus Hiddink has done wonders for the club during his short stint.

"Guus Hiddink has made a massive impact at Chelsea. His record speaks for itself, he has played 12, won 10, drew one and lost one. This shows that he is a world class manager."
